Play Smart on Pragmatic — Stay in Control

Gaming on Pragmatic is meant to be fun — a bit of excitement while watching the PSL, a few spins after work, or a quick bingo session on your lunch break. We want it to stay that way. This page is here to make sure you have the tools and the knowledge to keep things enjoyable and well within your own boundaries.

This platform is strictly for adults aged 18 and above. All responsible gaming tools described on this page are available to registered players through their account settings. If you ever feel things are getting out of hand, do not wait — the tools are there for exactly that situation.

Our Responsible Gaming Commitments

Six areas where Pragmatic actively works to keep gaming fun and safe for Pakistani players

Player-Controlled Limits

You decide how much you deposit and how long you play. Deposit limits, loss limits and session timers are all controlled by you from your account settings — no one else can override them except to lower them.

Cooling-Off Periods

Need a short break? A cooling-off period pauses your account for a set number of days. During this time you cannot log in, deposit or place any bets. It reactivates automatically when the period ends — unless you extend it.

Self-Exclusion Option

If you feel you need a longer break or want to stop entirely, self-exclusion is available for periods ranging from several months to permanent closure. Contact support to activate this — it takes effect immediately.

Session Time Reminders

It is easy to lose track of time during a cricket betting session or a slot run. Set a reminder and you will receive a notification after a chosen period of continuous play — a simple nudge to check in with yourself.

Activity Transparency

Your account dashboard shows a full history of your deposits, withdrawals, bets placed and winnings — in PKR. You always know exactly where your money has gone, with no surprises or hidden figures.

Under-18 Prevention

Pragmatic verifies the age of all new registrations. If any player is found to be under 18, their account is closed immediately and all funds are returned. On shared devices, parents should use parental control software to restrict access.

How to Set Your Limits

Setting limits on your Pragmatic account takes less than two minutes. Here is exactly how to do it once you are logged in.

1
Log In to Your Account

Head to the login page and sign in using your registered mobile number or email and your password. Make sure you are on a private device.

2
Go to Account Settings

Tap or click your profile icon at the top right corner of the screen and select "Account Settings" from the dropdown menu.

3
Select Responsible Gaming

Inside settings, find the "Responsible Gaming" section. This is where all your control tools are kept — deposit limits, session timers, cooling-off options and self-exclusion.

4
Set Your Preferred Limits

Choose the type of limit you want to set, enter your preferred amount or time in PKR or minutes, and confirm. Lower limits take effect immediately. Higher limits require a 24-hour waiting period.

5
Contact Support If Needed

If you need help setting up limits, want to activate self-exclusion or have any concerns about your gaming habits, reach out to our support team via live chat — available 24/7.

Budget Tracker Example

A healthy approach to gaming means treating it as entertainment with a fixed budget — just like going out for food or watching a match. Here is what responsible budget planning looks like in PKR.

Weekly Entertainment BudgetPKR 2,000
Amount Used This WeekPKR 800
Remaining BudgetPKR 1,200
Session Time Used Today45 min of 90 min
The Golden Rule

Only play with money you can genuinely afford to lose. Your deposit limit should be set to an amount that — even if you lost all of it — would not affect your daily life, rent, groceries or family needs.

Warning Signs to Watch For

Gaming is a problem when it stops being fun and starts affecting your daily life. Recognise these signs early

Chasing losses — placing more bets to try and win back money you have already lost

Spending money meant for rent, bills, groceries or family expenses on gaming

Playing late into the night regularly or missing sleep because of gaming sessions

Hiding your gaming activity from family or close friends and feeling guilty about it

Feeling anxious, irritable or restless when you are not able to play

Gaming performance or productivity at work, school or home is suffering

Repeatedly telling yourself "just one more bet" or "just another 10 minutes"

Borrowing money from friends, family or any source specifically to fund gaming

If you recognise two or more of these signs in yourself, it is worth taking a step back. Start with a cooling-off period or contact our support team for help activating a self-exclusion. There is no shame in it — it is the smart, responsible thing to do. You can also speak confidentially with someone you trust in your family or friend circle.

Your Control Tools — Explained in Detail

Each tool is designed for a specific situation. Here is exactly what each one does

Deposit Limits

Set a maximum amount you can deposit in PKR per day, per week or per month. Once you hit that limit, no further deposits are accepted until the period resets. Lowering a deposit limit happens immediately. Raising it requires a 24-hour cooling-off period — this is by design, to prevent impulsive decisions.

Loss Limits

Cap how much you can lose within a set period. If your net losses reach your chosen limit — whether daily, weekly or monthly — your betting and gaming activity is automatically paused for the rest of that period. It resets automatically when the period rolls over.

Session Time Limits

Set a maximum uninterrupted play duration. When you reach that time, the platform will notify you and give you the option to continue or log out. This tool works particularly well during long cricket match betting sessions where time passes quickly.

Reality Check

At intervals you choose — every 30, 60 or 90 minutes — a pop-up appears showing how long you have been playing and how your balance has changed during that session. It is a neutral, factual nudge to help you stay aware of your activity.

Cooling-Off Period

A temporary pause on your account ranging from 1 day to 6 weeks. Your account is suspended — no login, no deposits, no bets. It is useful if you feel you need a short break but do not want to close your account permanently. The period cannot be cut short once activated.

Self-Exclusion

The most serious tool available. Self-exclusion closes access to your Pragmatic account for a minimum of six months, up to permanent closure. During this period you will also be removed from all marketing communications. To activate, contact our support team directly — it cannot be undone until the minimum period expires.

What Responsible Gaming Actually Means

There is a lot of talk about responsible gaming but not always a clear explanation of what it means in practice. At Pragmatic, we define it simply: gaming is responsible when it is an entertainment activity that you are fully in control of — financially, emotionally and time-wise.

Cricket betting on a PSL match, a few rounds of bingo or spinning through some slots should feel like a leisure activity — similar to watching a movie or eating out. The moment it starts to feel like a necessity, like something you have to do, or like a way to solve a financial problem, it has moved outside healthy territory.

Responsible gaming is not about limiting how much you enjoy yourself. It is about making sure you are always the one in charge — setting boundaries before you start, sticking to them, and recognising when something has shifted.

Managing Your Gaming Budget in PKR

One of the most effective responsible gaming habits is treating your gaming budget the same way you treat any other discretionary expense. Before you deposit on Pragmatic, decide how much you are comfortable spending this week — not how much you want to win, but how much you are genuinely okay with losing entirely.

In practical terms for Pakistani players, a reasonable entertainment budget might be anywhere from PKR 500 to PKR 3,000 per week depending on your personal financial situation. The important thing is that it is money set aside for fun — completely separate from your household expenses, savings, mobile credit or any essential payments like utility bills.

Once that budget is set as a deposit limit on your account, you do not have to think about it again. The platform will enforce it automatically. You can focus on actually enjoying the game rather than mentally tracking your spending in the background.

Practical Tip

If you use JazzCash or Easypaisa to deposit, consider keeping your gaming funds in a separate wallet or sending only your budgeted amount to the platform at the start of the week. This way, even if you wanted to top up impulsively, you would need to actively go and transfer more money — that friction alone stops a lot of impulse decisions.

Keeping It Away From Family Life

In Pakistan, shared devices and family living arrangements are common. If you play on a family phone or tablet, take steps to ensure younger family members cannot access the platform. Enable the lock screen on the app, use a strong password that is not easily guessable, and log out after every session rather than staying permanently signed in.

If a family member expresses concern about how much time or money you are spending on gaming, take that seriously. It is often easier for the people around us to notice a pattern before we do ourselves. A conversation like that, though uncomfortable, is worth having.

Pragmatic's account is for your personal use only. Account sharing — letting a family member or friend use your account to place bets — is against our terms and conditions and can also create confusion around budgets and spending.

Keeping the Fun in Sports Betting

Betting on cricket — whether it is a PSL match, a T20 international or a test series — is exciting because of the sport itself. The best approach to sports betting treats it as a way to add a bit more engagement to a match you would watch anyway, not as a financial strategy or income source.

Before placing any cricket bet, ask yourself: would I enjoy watching this match even if I had no money on it? If the answer is no, that is a sign your relationship with betting may have shifted from entertainment to something else.

Chasing losses during a match — increasing bet sizes because earlier bets did not come through — is one of the most common ways sports betting becomes problematic. Set your bet for the match before it starts and leave it as it is, regardless of how the game develops. The match is more enjoyable that way too.

Quick Self-Check

Ask yourself these questions honestly before your next gaming session:

  • Is this money I can afford to lose completely?
  • Have I set a time limit for this session?
  • Am I playing for fun or to chase a loss?
  • Is anyone in my family worried about my gaming?
  • Have I kept my gaming separate from daily expenses?

If you answered "no" to any of the first two or "yes" to the last three, consider taking a break before you start.

Responsible Gaming — Common Questions

Straightforward answers to questions Pakistani players ask about staying in control

Yes. Lowering a deposit limit takes effect immediately. This is intentional — if you decide you want to spend less, that decision should be supported instantly. Raising a limit, on the other hand, requires a 24-hour waiting period to prevent impulsive decisions during a gaming session.

Any remaining balance in your account at the time of self-exclusion will be withdrawn to your registered payment method — JazzCash, Easypaisa, Raast or bank account — within the standard processing time. You will not lose your funds. The self-exclusion only blocks access to the platform, not your money.

No. Account limits can only be set by the verified account holder. This protects your account security. However, if a family member has genuine concerns about your gaming, we encourage you to have that conversation openly. Our support team can also speak with you confidentially about your options.

No. Once a cooling-off period is activated, it cannot be cancelled or shortened. This is a deliberate feature — the tool is only effective if it holds firm. If you genuinely made an error, contact our support team to discuss the situation, but the cooling-off period will remain in place until it expires naturally.

No. When a self-exclusion is activated, your account is immediately removed from all promotional communications — SMS, email and push notifications. You will not receive any bonus offers, match previews or deposit prompts for the duration of the exclusion period.

Gaming on Pragmatic is designed for adults aged 18 and above who use it as a recreational activity. It is not suitable for anyone under 18, anyone who is experiencing financial difficulty, anyone in recovery from gambling-related issues, or anyone who finds it difficult to control their spending or time spent gaming. If any of those situations apply, please do not register or use the platform.
